After a long day at work and a then a tough workout, unwinding is necessary. Seeing watermelon in abundance right now and my love for fresh mint have inspired me to create this smoothie. This is so easy to make and you can enjoy with or without alcohol, frozen in popsicle form, with or without chia seeds, and as a snack or cocktail. Ingredients: - 2 cups seedless watermelon - 1.5 cups of strawberries - 6 ice cubes - juice of 1 lime - 4 mint leafs - 1 tablespoon of palm sugar 1) Place everything in the blender and [...]

As yet another stop on our world wide tour for World Cup Cuisine we stop momentarily in Algeria today to bring to you a favorite drink of Algerians, the mint tea named Etzai.
Beverages such as mint tea are a favorite among all North African countries. Tea is usually offered to visiting guests, though coffee flavored with cardamom is another option. With the abundance of fruits year round, fresh juices are plentiful and children tend to favor apricot nectar. In depth details on Etzai are rather sparse, but what we do know is that it is quite possibly the tastiest and most refreshing tea we've had to date. And the chance to aerate the tea by pouring it from a height of 12" above the tea cup, well, makes it fun at the same time!
