One of the most memorable meals we have ever had was fish head curry in Singapore at the renowned Banana Leaf Apolo. Jet-legged, we ordered a small of fish head curry, with naan and rice. As we sipped our beer, we joked about who would eat the eyeball (no one did!). We liked the fish head curry because it was very flavourful and spicy, without being too fishy. I cannot even begin to explain what it tastes like as there are so many flavours. In fish head a curry, the head of an Ikan, which is also known as red [...]

I had a craving for baked beans a few days ago and I decided to act on that impulse. It's probably one of the most rewarding things to do as a human, is it not?
Since the weekend is upon us I figured this would give me plenty of time to soak the beans overnight, prepare the beans and then slowly cook them for 8-10 hours. Getting up on a Sunday at 7AM is just plain wrong, but for some reason I was compelled to do it. Sigh. And now I present to you the final product!

Through recent inspiration (let's blame Jesse over at beansandtoast.com) I decided to make a quick and easy Korma dish, but was tired of the usual chicken that we normally eat in Indian food. So instead I got some veggies, coconut milk and korma paste together and created a lovely vegetarian dish that tasty is and filling!

I felt a little adventurous today, as you'll notice by the long list of ingredients and the inclusion of 4 pictures throughout the cooking process. This root soup is a favorite of mine, and this latest batch has to be the best I have ever tasted.

I sometimes get a hankering for lemongrass flavoured dishes, and at about 50c per stalk, there's just no reason to cut it up, bruise it and toss it in an asian dish. Add to that this seemingly new obsession with soups and you've got this lovely and tasty creation above.
With plenty of veggies and flavor this soup has quickly climbed our 'top soup' list, and will likely remain for sometime. Read on for ingredients and directions!
